Cancellation

Well, it's happened. The diocese has decreed that all the churches are to be closed until further notice and the hall will no longer be available for use either. So, the trick will be to keep in touch and support each other during this time. John has already begun by offering his services to pick up groceries or help out in any other way--a very kind and practical offer.

As I said on Sunday, I will post something each day on the website and am looking also for quotations or ideas, family news and pictures that you don't mind having on the website. It does reach beyond the parish--I just had a charming email from a St. Oswald's Church in Bavaria! I don't know if it is one of the five churches which possess Oswald's head....

It may well be time to reactivate the phone tree as well. Let me know what you think.
