Christmas Hope

This past Sunday, the first in Advent, we lit the candle of hope in the Advent Wreath. Part of our "Christmas Hope" is the donation of food to the Surrey Food Bank. A couple of weeks ago, decorated boxes were distributed to local businesses, and they will be picked up soon. The businesses have been wonderful over the past few years in filling the boxes with much needed items. Last year one business donated a lot of diapers--I suspect a new mother in there KNEW that was a necessity! Add in the contributions made by the congregation--"fill the font with food"--and we should be able to add a bit of Christmas hope to some needy families.
