It was a lot of fun planning our first "Potluck Sunday" service for the end of August. Seven parishioners were invited to choose a favourite hymn, and we had a great selection. Even Vanessa from her home in the Gulf Islands was able to participate long distance--and we are really thankful for Jamaine who soldiered on through seven hymns AND the singing of the Lord's Prayer. Between the hymns, there were presentations by half a dozen members of the congregation. Each read verses of scripture and explained why those particular verses held a special meaning for them. Loved it when Sheila produced not one but two testaments inscribed to Sheila Cook for perfect attendance at Sunday School!
